FAQ

What is WERM flooring?

WERM flooring is a poured-in-place rubber flooring system designed for horse trailers, livestock trailers, barns, and other agricultural facilities. The flooring bonds directly to the surface beneath it, creating a permanent, seamless, slip-resistant surface that is cushioned and extremely durable.

Unlike traditional rubber mats, WERM flooring completely seals the floor so liquids cannot seep underneath.

What makes WERM flooring different from rubber mats?

Traditional rubber mats sit loosely on the trailer floor and must be lifted regularly for cleaning. Over time, moisture and waste can become trapped underneath them.

WERM flooring is permanently bonded to the floor, which means:

  • No heavy mats to remove

  • No gaps where waste can collect

  • Easier cleaning with a hose

  • Better protection for aluminum and wood trailer floors

This permanent seal helps prevent corrosion and deterioration caused by trapped moisture.

Can WERM flooring be installed in livestock trailers?

Yes. WERM flooring is commonly installed in:

  • Horse trailers

  • Livestock and stock trailers

  • Cattle trailers

  • Show trailers

The textured rubber surface provides traction and cushioning, helping animals maintain footing during transport.

Can WERM flooring be installed in barns?

Yes. WERM flooring is also ideal for many barn and facility applications, including:

  • Wash racks

  • Barn aisleways

  • Stall floors

  • Clipping areas

  • Vet clinics and equine facilities

The non-porous surface helps control moisture and bacteria while remaining easy to clean.

Is WERM flooring waterproof?

Yes. WERM flooring is completely non-porous, meaning liquids like water, urine, and manure cannot soak into the material. Instead, everything stays on the surface where it can easily be rinsed away.

This helps prevent odor buildup and protects the underlying floor structure.

Does WERM flooring require drainage holes?

No. WERM flooring does not require drilling holes into your trailer floor for drainage. Because the material is sealed and non-porous, liquids stay on the surface and can simply be washed out of the trailer.

What surfaces can WERM flooring be installed on?

WERM flooring can be installed on many types of surfaces, including:

  • Aluminum trailer floors

  • Wood trailer floors

  • Steel floors

  • Concrete floors

  • Existing barn surfaces

Proper preparation of the surface ensures a strong and long-lasting bond.

Is WERM flooring comfortable for horses and livestock?

Yes. WERM flooring is designed to provide:

  • Cushion to absorb shock

  • Slip resistance for better footing

  • Reduced road noise during transport

This helps create a safer and more comfortable ride for horses and livestock.

Is WERM flooring durable?

Yes. WERM flooring is designed specifically for heavy animal traffic and livestock environments. The thick rubber surface resists wear, cracking, and chipping while protecting the trailer floor underneath.

With proper installation, the flooring can last for many years.

Seal & Chill FAQ

How does Seal & Chill help keep trailers and barns cooler?

Seal & Chill is designed to reflect a large percentage of the sun’s UV rays away from the roof surface. By reducing how much heat the roof absorbs, it helps lower interior temperatures in trailers and barns, creating a more comfortable environment for animals.

Can Seal & Chill be applied to livestock trailers?

Yes. Seal & Chill works well on horse trailers, stock trailers, and other livestock trailers with metal or aluminum roofs. It helps reduce heat buildup during transport and protects the roof from sun damage.

Does Seal & Chill help prevent roof leaks?

Seal & Chill creates a protective coating that helps seal small cracks and seams in roof surfaces. This added layer of protection helps prevent minor leaks from developing into larger roofing problems.

What types of roofs can Seal & Chill be applied to?

Seal & Chill can be applied to many types of roof surfaces, including:

  • Metal roofs

  • Aluminum trailer roofs

  • Barn and agricultural building roofs

  • RV and camper roofs

  • Equipment shed roofs

  • Commercial roofs

Why use Seal & Chill with WERM Flooring?

Using Seal & Chill together with WERM Flooring helps improve your trailer or barn from top to bottom. WERM flooring creates a durable, easy-to-clean surface underfoot, while Seal & Chill protects the roof and helps reduce heat inside the structure.

Together, they create a cleaner, cooler, and more comfortable environment for livestock.
